New Welder Certification Classes Being Held

Welder certification programs are designed to ensure that welders possess the skills and knowledge required to produce high-quality welds. There are several types of welder certifications available, each with its own requirements and testing procedures.

One of the most common certifications is the American Welding Society (AWS) Certified Welder program. This program assesses welders’ skills in various welding processes, such as Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW), Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW), and Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW), among others.

Another certification program is the Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) program, which aims to certify individuals responsible for inspecting welding work. This program assesses an individual’s knowledge of welding standards, techniques, and quality control practices.

Other certifications available include Certified Welding Educator (CWE), Certified Welding Supervisor (CWS), and Certified Welding Sales Representative (CWSR). Each certification serves a different purpose and provides different benefits to individuals working in the welding industry.
