COMPANY
HISTORY
RWC was founded in February of 1945 in Bay City, Michigan. In
October of the same year, the firm was incorporated under the
name Resistance Welder Corporation. The firm name was changed
to RWC Inc., in April of 1979.
In the early 1950s RWC began designing multiple-station welding
machines with mechanical handling of parts between the welding
stations. RWC also moved into the field of metal forming (i.e.,
bending and forming) which led to the design and construction
of the first Automatic Refrigerator Cabinet Line. Since then,
RWC has build more than thirty (30) of these lines, including
the last sixteen (16) placed into production in the United States.
Recognizing the need for a facility capable of handling lines
in the magnitude of 250 to 300 feet in length, a new plant with
39,200 square feet of floor space was constructed at our present
location in 1957. Since 1957, RWC has continued to grow in size
and product diversification. This growth pattern has necessitated
several expansion programs. Today RWC's manufacturing facility
has 123,330 square feet located on a 13 acre plant site adjacent
to I-75 and with easy access to the MBS International Airport.
